I was a passenger on the Hongkong Kowloon Ferry about 3.30 p.m. on Sunday 22nd. instant. Just after leaving the Hongkong Pier I heard a commotion from the lower deck and a splash in the water, I got up and went to the side of the Ferry and observed a Chinaman in the water. I hastened to the after part of the top deck of the Ferry and just as I reached there a European youth dived off the top deck and swam to the Chinaman and rescued him and got him aboard the Ferry again. It struck me as being a most plucky act.
